Throughout Danny’s life he was a passionate advocate for community facilities, played an important role in supporting Eaton Football Club’s move to Glen Huon Reserve and always tried to make Dardanup and the Shire a better place in which to live. His advice will be missed by many.
Apart from his community life, Danny and his wife Pam raised three sons and enjoyed a very successful farming career.

- Dardanup Catholic Parish: lifetime supporter
- WA Catholic Education Commission
- Bunbury Catholic College: Chairperson School Board: 1986 – 1990, Art Extraordinaire committee member: 1993
- Our Lady of Lourdes, Dardanup: Chairperson school board.
- Eaton Boomers: Awarded Life Membership
